Privacy notice

PassPoint Practice is run by PassPoint Education Ltd. We are the data controller for parent accounts and practice answers. Where your child joins through a tutoring centre, we also process data on that centre’s behalf so its tutors can see your child’s progress.

What we collect

• Your name, email address and password (passwords are stored encrypted by our login provider, never in plain text).
• Your child’s first name or a nickname, and the class they belong to.
• Your child’s practice answers, whether they were right, and when they were given.

We do not collect your child’s surname, date of birth, school, address, photo or email address.

Why

• To mark practice instantly and show you and your child’s tutor where they need help.
• To send account emails, such as confirming your email address or resetting your password.

We never sell data, show adverts, or use children’s data for marketing.

Who can see it

• You.
• Tutors and admins at your child’s tutoring centre, for your child’s class only. They must use two-factor login.
• PassPoint staff who need to, to support the service.

Each tutoring centre’s data is kept separate from every other centre’s. Data is stored in London, UK, by our hosting provider Supabase, and the website is served by Vercel.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. You can remove a child and all their answers at any time from your parent page. To close your whole account, email us and we will delete it within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details below. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
